Turkish Education Association Opens School in N. Cyprus
The Turkish Education Association (TED) has signed an agreement to open a school in northern Cyprus, which is under Turkish-Cypriot administration, said a news report in www.haber.turk.net.
Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Cicek and Turkish-Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu attended a ceremony last week at the Merit Hotel in Nicosia to mark the rental agreement of the school, which is set to start operation by 2010.
The TED was established in 1928 and is a non-government organisation with 22 schools and colleges in Turkey.
