Curium Beach Polluted, Shipping Suspected

Life guards at Curium Beach raised the red flag yesterday as the water was filled with human waste, polluting the beach and forcing bathers to abandon the area.

"The main suspect is shipping," said a spokesman from the British Sovereign Bases (SBA).

Ships are known to dump untreated waste in deep waters off the island, where it washes up on the beaches along the coast. Efforts are currently underway to clean the water and sand that has been affected.
