Measles Outbreak Causes Concern

Seven new cases of measles so far this year have caused concern as the disease had all but disappeared from the island's population.

According to Dr. Chrystalla Hadjianastasiou who heads the infectious disease unit, four cases occurred in the last month alone. The slight outbreak highlights the importance of vaccinations, said Health Minister Christos Patsalides.
