Consumer Prices Up in April

Consumer prices rose slightly by 0.7 percent in April due to increases in fuel products and electricity, said the Cyprus Statistical Service.

Inflation remained at 2.4 percent, the same as in March 2010 - however, significantly higher than the 0.7 percent rate in April 2009.

Prices rose by 2.5 percent in the first four months of the year compared to the same period last year.
