Four Arrests, 11 Hospitalised - Hooligans

AEL fans battled police in the Enaerios parking lot until the early morning hours, injuring 11 police and destroying property in the area

"It appears that they were preparing for war," said police spokesman Michalis Katsounodos.

Masked hooligans threw molotov cocktails, rocks and glass in the aftermath of an Apollon-Apoel game in Larnaca. Riot police tried to get them under control but the battles went on for most of the night.

Four people have been arrested, two 22-year-olds, a 24-year-old and a 27-year-old. Police are preparing more arrest warrants and are investigating the violence, which was pre-planned, they said.
