Second Bank of Cyprus Robbery - August

An armed robber has stolen 39,000 euros from a Bank of Cyprus (BoC) in Ormidhia in the Larnaca district, making this the second BoC robbery within the space of a month.

The bank heist happened this morning at 8.30am when the man held a cashier at gun-point and escaping on a motorcycle which was later found burned outside the village.

On August 3rd, two men stole 64,000 euros from a Bank of Cyprus in Agias Fylaxis in Limassol. So far, no suspects have been caught by police, who are also hunting for armed robbers who stole money from banks in Paphos and Larnaca this month.
