Man Arrested for Attempted Murder - Limassol

Police have arrested a 35-year-old man after he ran down another man with his car at 3.15am on Pelopida street in Limassol this morning.

"There appears to have been economic differences between them," said a police spokeswoman speaking to CyprusNewsReport.com.

The 30-year-old was walking on a road in Limassol with two friends when the 35-year-old drove his car into him, injuring his left foot. The victim was taken to a private clinic in Limassol and is in surgery for his injuries.

The 35-year-old was taken into custody for questioning, said police. Although no names have yet been released, police said both men are Greek Cypriots.
