Convicted Murderer Gets Life
22-year-old Andreas Spyrou has been sentenced to life in prison after Nicosia district court convicted him of the premeditated murder of 23-year-old student Stavros Georgiou from Analionta, said police.
Georgiou's body was found just over a year ago on October 23, 2009 at 6.45am by a Nicosia citizen in the Idalou Industrial Area. He had 21 stab wounds all over his body and was killed by Spyrou after a dispute over 540 euros.
