Death Threats Sent to President
Four letters containing death threats and signed by 'Heracles' (Hercules) have been sent to President Demetris Christofias and other top members of the government, said police spokesman Michalis Katsounodos.
"I will kill you in your sleep, and believe me, my team have been training for many years," said the letter to the president as reported by SigmaTV last night.
Police are investigating the threats, which were also sent to House President Marios Garoyian, President of DISY Nikos Anastassiades and the head of the ministry of education Andreas Demetriou, said the spokesman.
He added that the threats are considered low risk, but all measures would be taken to identify the author - who is as yet unknown.
