Two Road Deaths Over Weekend

A 97-year-old man who was fighting for his life in Limassol General Hospital after a road accident on November 16th, succumbed to his injuries and died at 5pm on Saturday, said police.

In a separate incident on Sunday, 68-year-old Nikolas Pieri crashed into a parked car while backing out of a parking lot in Nicosia, and police found him unconscious at the wheel.

He was taken to Nicosia General Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. An autopsy later determined that Pieri died of a heart attack, said a police spokesman.
