November Inflation Drops To 1.5%
The inflation rate dropped sharply to 1.5 (later adjusted to 1.7) percent in November 2010 compared to 3 percent in October, said the Cyprus Statistical Service (CYSTAT).
This is mainly due to "significant decreases in the prices of certain fresh vegetables, fruit and electricity," according to the survey.
But increases have been seen in the prices of clothing and footwear, petrol and potatoes.
For the period January-November 2010, the Consumer Price Index increased by 2.5 percent compared to the same period in 2009.
