'Japan' Bassist Mick Karn Passes Away

Former bass player of the band Japan Mick Karn (Adonis Michaelides) has passed away at the age of 52 after a battle against cancer, according to an announcement on his website.

A well-respected Greek-Cypriot musician who worked with Gary Numan, Kate Bush and Joan Armatrading, Michaelides was also deeply interested in Jazz.

His talent extended to the saxophone and other wind instruments, as well as the Chinese instrument suona.

He is best remembered for his work with the band Japan.
