Tours for Peace - Nicosia

POST Research Institute, in cooperation with the Cypriot Teachers Platform of United Cyprus (Greek Cypriot Section) is launching a project called “Tours for Peace”.

As a part of this project, they are inviting you to their first tour in Nicosia. The tour will involve the visiting of key historical places in both the northern and southern parts of the capital, where their experienced guides will highlight fascinating details that many have of us have been failing to see whilst walking through this impressive city.

Tracing Multiculturalism in Cyprus: A Historical Tour of Nicosia

15th January 2011, Saturday @ 10.00 – 16.00 (Please note that lunch will be provided)

Meeting point will be the Lokmacı/Ledra Street Checkpoint – northern part of Nicosia @ 10.00. 

The common language of these tours will be in English, however translation into Turkish and Greek will be provided.

Places are limited, so please register your participation by Wednesday 12 January 2011 until 16.00.

Please note that priority will be given to history teachers.

This project is being funded by the UNDP-ACT/ USAID through the “ENGAGE” project, which is being executed by the NGO Support Centre and The Management Centre.
