Paphos Woman Run Over, Abandoned

A 35-year-old Paphos resident is in critical condition after being run over as she was walking down Akamanditos street last night, said police.

The Syrian woman was the victim of an accident between two cars, and both drivers fled the scene of the accident, leaving the woman lying injured on the road.

According to police, a vehicle was exiting a parking lot on Akamanditos street when it collided with another car on the road. The second car veered onto the pavement and hit the 35-year-old pedestrian.

Paphos traffic police are looking for the drivers and are trying to identify the two vehicles, they said.
