GDP Reaches 17.46 bln Euros in 2010

Gross Domestic Product grew by 1 percent to reach 17.46 billion euros in 2010, compared to 16.95 billion in 2009, say the latest estimates from the Cyprus Statistical Service (CYSTAT).

The revised figures for the fourth quarter show a growth of 0.5 percent over the third quarter of 2010, or 2.5 percent over the same period in 2009.

The study cites improvements in Tourism, Transport and Trade.

But negative performances persisted in Construction and Manufacturing, said CYSTAT.
