Lion Gold Hits Gold in Cyprus

Canadian mining company Northern Lion Gold Corp. said it has discovered gold 10 metres below the surface of their drilling point in Agios Nikolas in the Troodos mountains.

Their initial findings are of 4.5 grams per tonne at 10 metres underground. This figure rises to 6.1 grams per tonne after 12.3 metres below the surface, said the company.

"We are very pleased by the receipt of these preliminary gold assays as they demonstrate the gold potential of the Cyprus VMS deposit model that our technical team believes exists," said John Lando, president of Northern Lion.

Northern Lion has permits in 19 sites around the Troodos Mountains, and is mining for gold and silver.
