24-year-old Man Dies in Road Accident - Nicosia

24-year-old Evros Charalambous died in a road accident this morning in Nicosia at around 2am, said police.

The young man was driving his motorcycle on Strovolos Avenue when it overturned and he was thrown into an electricity pole. Although he was wearing a helmet, he was fatally injured in the impact.

Nicosia traffic police are investigating the latest road fatality, the third in 48 hours following the death of a pensioner on Friday and 78-year-old man who succumbed to serious injuries sustained in an accident earlier last week.
