Five-year-old Dies of Injuries After Road Accident

Five-year-old Georgios Theodosiou from Chlorakas in Paphos has died in hospital of injuries sustained after a car hit him outside his home in Polemi village.

The child was crossing the road when a car driven by a 20--year-old man from Yiolou hit him and critically injured him on June 16th. Little Georgios was taken to intensive care in Makarios Hospital suffering from injuries to his head and stomach. Doctors tried to save his life, while the public followed the young boy's story and hoped for his recovery, but tragically it was not to be.

The driver of the car was arrested for questioning.

Georgios Theodosiou is the seventh road accident fatality this month.
