APOEL Through to Champions League Group Stages

APOEL has eliminated Wisla 3-1 to go through to the UEFA Champions League group stages.

Brazilian striker Ailton scored twice, with the third goal of the match made three minutes before the end of the game.

The victory was greeted with jubilation in Cyprus, with thousands of fans overjoyed that a Cypriot side has made it once again into the international league. It is the second time APOEL has made it to the big stage.

APEOL was joined by group stage qualifiers Bayern Munich, Villarreal, Racing Genk and Dinamo Zagreb.
