Magnitude 7.0 Earthquake Shakes Izu Islands, Japan
The strong earthquake happened at 05.27am this morning at a depth of 365 kilometres, said EMSC.
The earthquake poses no tsunami threat, said the Japan Meteorological Agency.
Last year, Japan suffered a devastating earthquake on March 11th which triggered a tsunami, killing an estimated 10,000 people.
