20-year-old Dead in Road Accident on Limassol Highway
Twenty-year-old Ioannis Kyriakou was killed in a road accident yesterday on the Limassol-Nicosia highway after his car hit a median and overturned, throwing him violently onto the road.
Police said that the Moutagiakas resident was driving towards Germasoyia when he lost control of the vehicle. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Too many young people die in road accidents because they break the speed limit or neglect to wear seatbelts. The latest statistics show that 70 percent of road deaths are caused by victims who did not wear their seatbelt.
