Seven Dead in N. Italy Earthquake
Seven people have died in a strong earthquake in northern Italy that occurred 190km east of Milan and 14km west of Ferrara yesterday and was followed by two tremors.
The first earthquake was at 02.03am UTC and measured 6.1 on the Richter Scale, followed by two tremors measuring magnitude 5.2, according to seismic research centre EMSC.
The depth of the initial earthquake was 10km, the aftershocks were at 20km.
One victim was a woman in her sixties who succumbed to stress in the aftermath of the earthquake, reports France24.
