Bi-Communal Directory Encouraging - CCCI

Efforts to compile a bi-communal directory of Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot business have been 'extremely encouraging', showing real cooperation between business people from both communities, said a Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) spokeswoman.

Around 200 businesses have applied to be included in the directory, which is financed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP-ACT) within the Economic Interdependence project which started in April 2009.

The directory aims to collect contact details of businesses in both communities which are interested in cooperating with each other. Businesses interested in buying, selling or developing any other form of cooperation with Turkish Cypriot business can contact Lia Riris at CCCI (tel 22889720, e-mail lia@ccci.org.cy).
